betrayed, suffered a mock trial and was burned at the stake at the age of 19

Vincent de Paul is the well-beloved saint who took up the cause of the poor
in France during a time when no one cared. His legacy continues today
through the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, which is dedicated to serving

American saint, Katherine Drexel concerned herself especially for the the
poor, native and black population, providing them with care and education,
spending a a considerable personal fortune in the process. |

Thomas was Lord Chancellor of England, the second most powerful position
after the King himself. When King Henry VIII demanded a divorce on illegal
grounds, St. Thomas could not compromise his faith or ethics even though he
